Experiences of Blogging

My experience in creating a blog let alone a visually pleasant blog was nil when I began. In fact I knew very little about computers and all that on-line stuff. It scared the hell out of me. Lots of searching on the web and subscribing managed to produce lots of junk mail and spin. If I was prepared to spend hundreds even thousands of dollars the promises came thick and fast. All thos freebies on offer just added my email address to seemingly never ending mail that eventually had the Buy Now click here button. Needless to say I was not prepared to fill some others’ pockets with my hard earned dollars.

Opportunity Knocks

Fortunately, for me I happened to meet up with someone who started out just like me but, had already done all the hard yards. Opportunity knocked and I opened the door. The best part was that this person was willing to share. Much of what I have learnt and succeeded in has been at no cost other than my time and effort. The best part of all was that my mail box was not continually bombarded with costly offers.

An Alkaline Diet

Understanding How an Alkaline Diet Works

Alkaline diets are a popular choice for people who want to achieve optimum good health. However, many people don’t actually understand this diet or how it works. The concept is actually fairly simple – the diet just focuses on regaining the balance that was lost when man started to eat a more domesticated diet. Instead of focusing on foods that are high in sugar, fat, and cholesterol, an alkaline diet primarily consists of fresh fruits and vegetables, healthy whole grains, wholesome protein sources such as soy, beans and legumes, and healthy oils such as canola, olive and flax seed. These foods may be either alkaline or acid in their natural state, but they all produce what is termed as an “alkaline ash” once digested and metabolized by the body. When the body’s pH is kept at a slightly alkaline level, all the systems can work more efficiently.

Understanding the Effects of the Body’s pH Level

The pH level of the body has the ability to affect every single cell of the body. When the blood has an alkaline pH instead of an acidic pH, it will have a positive effect on how every bodily system functions. The brain, circulatory system, nerves, muscles, respiratory system, digestive system, and reproductive system can all benefit from a proper pH level. On the other hand, when the pH of the body is too acidic, it is susceptible to many diseases and problems. Weight gain, heart disease, premature aging, fatigue, nerve problems, allergies, muscle disease and cancer are all more prevalent when the body’s pH is not optimal. Because these problems are all more likely to occur when the body’s pH is too acid, it makes good sense to eat a diet rich in alkalizing foods. The primary goal is usually to eat approximately 75-80% alkaline foods along with only about 20-25% acidifying foods. If this level is maintained in the diet, the end result is a slightly alkaline pH in the body, which is perfect for optimum good health.

Choosing Foods for an Alkaline Diet

It’s actually quite easy to eat a diet rich in alkaline-producing foods. Most fresh fruits and vegetables are excellent choices. Red meat is not a good choice, but you can add plenty of protein to your meals by using soy products, delicious beans, legumes, and nuts such as almonds. You should eliminate unhealthy fats from your diet, but you can use good fats such as olive, canola, and flax seed oil. High fat dairy products should be avoided, but you can drink soy milk and goat’s milk. Cheeses made from soy milk and goat’s milk would also be good choices. Replace the empty calories of soda with delicious iced herb tea, green tea and lemon water. Coffee should be avoided, but you can drink hot herbal or green tea. Replace pasta with healthy whole grains such as wild rice, millet and quinoa. When sweetening your foods, focus on natural products such as raw sugar, Stevia and maple sugar. As you can see, you’ll have many nutritious choices that are both delicious and high in alkalizing properties.

Gardening Tips

Gardening Tips

Spring is upon us here in Aussie land and with all the wonderful rainfall we have had lately plants are flourishing. Some of the things that it would be wise to attend to are mulching, pest control and planting.

Mulching

Mulching assists in preventing the top layer of soil drying out too quickly in the hot summer sun. It also keeps the soil cooler so shallow rooting plants do not suffer. Mulching helps control weeds and that means less work for the gardener. There are many types of mulch, some that break down and others like gravel or pebbles that still provide a protection against weeds. One thing to remember when mulching is NOT to put the mulch against the trunk or stems of trees and plants. To do so can cause foot rot to set in and the plant will become susceptible to disease or even die.

Get your hands on this wonderful and instructive book The 7 Day Back Pain Cure. I have found it to be one of the best investments I have ever made and thoroughly recommend this publication.

How to Care for Your Back

Care About Your Back

How to care for your back.

Here is a little-known fact. The real cause of back pain is almost always overlooked.

Don’t be a Kevin Rudd who is probably suffering from back pain as you read this. It seems as though Rudd overlooked protection from back pain by ignoring Julia Gillard who it appears was waiting in the wings. It is unlikely that doctors could have helped the back stabbing pains Kevin Rudd has experienced. Julia Gillard’s and Wayne Swan’s manipulation were possibly more a cause for pain than cure.

Just as most people suffering from back pain turn to doctors whom mostly only treat the symptoms. They use what many would call ‘band-aid’ treatments.

For example Cortisone shots that usually mask the pain and how painful are those shots. I had one once and never again thank you very much. Or you might try ant-inflammatory drugs that often have nauseating side effects.

Other treatments such as physical therapy, surgery, and chiropractic manipulation these may all work. When they do, it is almost never long-term.

It’s not until you treat the ‘hidden’ underlying causes that you get lasting pain relief. My friends at the Healthy Back Institute have some great information and programs specifically designed for treating these ‘hidden’ causes of pain.

Medical doctors and chiropractors are finally catching on and using their method as a treatment with their back pain patients. The results are nothing short of impressive.

If you suffer from any kind of back, neck or sciatic pain, I highly suggest you click here Healthy Back Institute and investigate for yourself.

Have a great day.

Get Your Life Back!

Take control of Arthritis, and Get Your Life Back!

Red, burning, swollen and so stiff you don’t want to move…
that’s what those who suffer from arthritis experience on a
daily basis. If you know this all to well, you are probably
one of the 46 million Americans (that’s 1 out of every 5
people) that are living with arthritis every day. To better
understand how to get relief from this debilitating disease
we need to dive deeper into its root cause.

Some of the types of arthritis which are associated with
inflammation include:

    * rheumatoid arthritis
    * gout
    * tendinitis
    * bursitis
    * polymyalgia rheumatica

What is Arthritis?

Arthritis actually means joint (arthr) inflammation (itis).
Arthritis can be used to define a group of more than 100
rheumatic diseases and other conditions that can cause pain,
stiffness and swelling in the joints or any part of your body.
Additionally, it can damage the joint cartilage which can lead
to joint weakness, instability and visible deformities that
can interfere and, in severe cases, limit a person’s ability to
perform most basic daily tasks such as walking, climbing stairs,
using a computer keyboard, washing dishes or brushing your
teeth. Arthritis can affect anyone regardless of age and most
commonly affects joints in the knees, hips, hands and spine. If
left undiagnosed and not treated properly, arthritis can cause
irreversible damage to the joints, bones, organs, and skin. Not
to mention dramatically impair your quality of life.

Arthritis-related conditions primarily affect the muscles and
the bones but it is also considered to be systemic, affecting
the whole body. Arthritis can cause damage to any bodily organ
or system, including the lungs, kidneys, blood vessels, skin and
even the heart. The Arthritis Foundation sites two independent
studies (Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and at the Mayo
Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota) both of which prove that the
widespread inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis is linked to
heart disease and an increased risk of early death.

No one really knows the exact cause of arthritis but there are
certain risk factors to keep in mind:

    * Genetics – likely to contribute to risk but no one knows
      how much.
    * Age – the older you are the more at risk you become.
    * Weight – maintaining a healthy weight will ease the load on
      the joints.
    * Previous Injury – major injuries are likely to contribute to
      risk.
    * Occupational Hazards – repetitive, high demand jobs increase
      risk.
    * Certain Sports – high level, high demand sports can
contribute to arthritis (however, general exercise is always
      a plus)
    * Illness or infection – an infection in the joint or gout can
      lead to arthritis.

What we do know is that when you have arthritis your immune system
goes into over-drive and causes the joints to swell and become
inflamed. Therefore, treating the inflammation becomes key in
managing the pain and discomfort associated with this condition.

Sadly enough, the Arthritis Foundation reports that half of those
Americans with arthritis don’t believe anything can be done to help
ease their pain. You may be in that situation yourself, having
thrown your hands up in frustration and simply decided to live with
your pain. The good news is that by reducing the inflammation you
can significantly ease the painful symptoms associated with
arthritis.

Here are a few ways to reduce your inflammation:

    * Exercise – less weight equals less stress on joints
    * Diet – Eat plenty of vegetables, fruits and whole-grain
products; limit sugar, salt and fat (especially saturated fat
      found in animal products)
    * Rest – a good balance between rest and activity is the key to
      joint health
    * Over-the-counter and prescription medications – while these may
provide temporary relief by masking the pain they are not always
get to the root of the problem – inflammation. They can also
have serious side effects, especially with long-term use.
    * Natural anti-inflammatory supplements – probably the most
promising natural approach to reducing inflammation in a long
while. We recommend looking for supplements containing systemic
      enzymes and all-natural herbal ingredients.

By taking these simple steps to reducing inflammation you will be well
on your way to managing your arthritis pain and it devastating effects
on your mind and body. Everyone should strive to achieve a healthy and
active lifestyle for optimal health and wellbeing.

leg. He could no longer walk. Even standing was uncomfortable. His doctor gave him several prescription medicines but nothing helped.

reliever, he was skeptical. How could this product work when every
prescription his doctor gave him hadn’t? But he decided to give it a

Reclaim Dollars From Your Bank

12/10/2009

Reclaim Hundreds, or Even Thousands of Dollars From Your Bank.

Research by a reputable company has revealed an alarming 54% error rate in bank statements and they have produced software that can reveal these errors. The following information is another pot of gold for those of you who have a mortgage, have had a mortgage or are about to take on a mortgage. Knowledge is power so grab the power that will keep the banks honest.

If you have read this far you have probably developed some questions in your mind for instance one frequently asked question is ‘Where do they get their figures on error rates from? They use the most conservative figures available on bank statement errors from surveys conducted by independent third parties (i.e. they didn’t just do the studies themselves). These figures were published in the Sydney Morning Herald and were the result of surveying over 200 monthly statements from 18 different lenders. This survey found that just over 54% of monthly statements contain errors, other published surveys show error rates of over 90%.’ Click this link to find out more http://bit.ly/87Vs67

Further frequently asked questions with answers are listed below.
Can I check mortgage accounts that I have already closed?
Yes you can. This company has had one customer who used the software to successfully claim back account errors on a loan that had been discharged 10 years earlier.
Do people really get their money from the banks?

Yes they do. These guys have helped over 20,442 people find errors in their statements. People are regularly finding significant errors on their bank statements and getting it back from the banks. I have sent through a lot of examples already but here is another one from Mychelle Morrissey of Wattle Grove in WA. She says …”6 weeks later the bank sent us two cheques, one for the Husband and one for me. The total we received from the bank was $4,000.00.

Best investment I have made all year. Thank you MortgageWatchdog.” http://bit.ly/87Vs67 and there are plenty more stories like this on their website.

Does it cover “XYZ” type of loan?

This company is yet to find a type of loan or account that is not compatible with their software. No matter what fancy name your lender gives your account they all use the same interest calculation method.

You have read this post telling you about the alarming 54% error rate in bank statements and the software you really need to be using to keep an eye on this. You have nothing to lose, but plenty to gain by checking out this advice now!
